John Eisendrath, executive producer of “The Blacklist,” told EW that Liz’s decision to not tell her colleagues at the Post Office about her not-dead status is going to be addressed in the first part of the new season. Is Liz’s association with Red brings her closer to danger or is it because she is the daughter of Katarina Rostova?

While fans have to wait to answer the questions, series creator Jon Bokenkamp tells The Wall Street Journal that Season 4 will be darker. The story and the character will continue on evolving plus new cast members will be added.

“The Blacklist” Season 4 is slated to return sometime in September or October.

Maintenant est-ce que cette source sera fiable (pour une même situation les points de vues peuvent diverger ou la personne peut mentir, surtout s'il s'agit de Red, Kirk ne l'aime pas, c'est clair)...maintenant Liz ayant "pratiqué" Red, je pense qu'elle ne prendra pas pour "argent comptant" ce que Kirk lui dira.

Fans may recall that in the last aired episode, Liz Keen (Megan Boone) was found out to be alive after all. She faked her death in order to live a normal life with her daughter and husband. She also fooled Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader).

But now that the secret is out, more twisted storylines are expected to surface including that of Liz and Red’s relationship. Spoilers reveal that there will be changes in the dynamics between Liz and Red and it’s actually expected since Red will feel betrayed over Liz’s actions.

However, it is said that even though Liz deceived Red, the latter will still back up the former. In an interview with executive producer Jon Bokenkamp, he revealed that it’s not in Red’s blood to leave Liz.

“I can’t imagine him abandoning Liz,” Bokenkamp said. “She hurt him, but we often hurt the people we love. The fact he’s been hurt isn’t nearly enough for him to walk away,” he added.

Red will still care for Liz and because of that he may still help Liz get out from the mess with Alexander Kirk. In the season 3 finale, Alexander revealed that he is the biological father of Liz. But it’s still to be known if he is telling the truth or he is just making it up in order to accomplish a scheme.

If it turns out that Alexander has been lying all along, fans can expect season 4 to be packed with bad blood between Red and Alexander. But before all of that will be exposed, the series will explore on the real motive of Alexander. It’s also still to be known how Red and Liz will be able to fix their broken bridge.

“In the first two seasons, we used pictures and a few fragments of memory, but Lotte brought Katarina to life in ‘Cape May,’” executive producer Jon Bokenkamp says. “The fan response to that character has been great. The episode itself was a departure, but we’ve found some really interesting story opportunities as a result.”
