Black Sails” actor Zach McGowan has joined the cast of The CW’s post-apocalyptic drama “The 100,” TheWrap has learned. The role will be a recurring one.

McGowan will play a new character named Roan on Season 3 and will appear in a recurring capacity. The character is described as a rogue Grounder warrior who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Citation :: Neil Sandilands is set as a recurring on The CW’s The 100. Set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization, it revolves around 100 juvenile delinquents sent back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet.

Sandilands, will play Titus, an embodiment of the Old Guard, who works to preserve and protect his Grounder civilization and the fate of his people. Sandilands recently wrapped Sundance’s Hap & Leonard opposite James Purefoy and Michael Kenneth Williams. He also recurred earlier this year on FX’s The Americans.

It’s a very dangerous position to be in, but at the end of the day, she’s only human and she’ll have that human emotion.”
