Arrow's fourth season is barely cold, but the details about Season 5 are already beginning to paint quite a picture of the new big bad.

So who will the (extremely depleted) Team Arrow be facing off against? Here's what we know about the new villain so far:

He's a Stringer Bell on the streets, but Khal Drogo in the sheets: With Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and H.I.V.E. out of the picture, there's a huge crime void in Star City. According to TVLine, this is where a new crime lord, tentatively named Anthon Church, comes in.

Anton Church is loosely inspired by Idris Elba's Wire character, Stringer Bell, but is physically described as Jason Momoa's Game of Thrones character, Khal Drogo. Now can somebody please write fanfic about Stringer and Drogo falling in love and having a baby together? Great, thanks.

He's just a regular dude: Arrow is seemingly toning down the magic for Season 5. Unlike Damien Darhk, this new big bad is just your run-of-the-mill evil human, according to star Stephen Amell. "As far as I know, they don't have superpowers," he previously told Variety.

He may have an accomplice: In addition to Anton Church, Arrow is adding a new series regular named James, who is described as "a man on a mission," and who's out to avenge a loss in his past, TVLine reports. The casting call describes James as a character who can "just as easily shake your hand as your best friend or break your neck as your worst enemy -- and you never know which one is coming. Either way, he's more than capable of having a good time as he does it."

Could James be working with Anton Church? Or will Team Arrow find themselves facing off with two villains next season?

He couldn't have come at a better time: When asked about the new villain, Amell told Variety: "I've heard that our big bad, our villain, is something that you can really only do once you're in the fifth, sixth or seventh season of a TV show." We have no real concept of what that means, but please feel free to share your interpretations in the comments below!

Team Arrow is getting bigger in season 5!

EW has learned exclusively that Rick Gonzalez has been tapped to play Jason Seaborn, a.k.a. DC Comics character Wild Dog, in the upcoming fifth season of Arrow.

On the show, Wild Dog is a new vigilante in Star City whose reckless and cocksure nature prompts Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) to take him under his wing.

Gonzalez, whose credits include Mr. Robot, Rush, and Rosewood, will appear in multiple episodes starting with the season premiere.

The Faux Canary will fly again. Madison McLaughlin will reprise her role as Evelyn Sharp in Arrow's fifth season.

Evelyn first appeared in the Season 4 episode "Canary Cry," in which she took on the Black Canary mantle to get revenge on Damien (Neal McDonough) and Ruve Darhk (Janet Kidder) for murdering her parents. But according to Variety, when Evelyn returns for a multi-episode arc, beginning in the second episode of Season 5, she'll be taking on a new name: Artemis.

In the comics, Artemis was a villain just like her parents, Tigress and Sportsmaster. However, in the animated series Young Justice, she got to be a superhero, playing sidekick to the Green Arrow after Roy Harper left. Artemis also dated Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale), which could be a fun relationship to explore in potential The Flash crossovers.

So which Artemis will Arrow give us next season: the supervillain or the superhero?

Evelyn definitely seemed a little off-balance last season, but we could see Oliver (Stephen Amell) take her under his wing and mold her into a hero. And Team Arrow is going to need all the help it can get! With Thea (Willa Holland) off finding herself and Diggle (David Ramsey) in the military, Oliver could use another archer around.

Arrow returns Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 8/7c on the CW.

the insider a écrit:: The CW has revealed to TV Insider that Carly Pope will be taking on the recurring role of Susan Williams, a journalist from nearby Coast City who comes to Star City “looking to make a name for herself” by targeting Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) for a big story. If all of this sounds a little familiar to fans of the DC Universe, that's because in the comics, Williams is married to Jim Jordan, the little brother of Coast City's resident Green Lantern, Hal Jordan.

Coming out of the events of the Season 4 finale, “She’s in a very similar place to Dig. She’s really grappling with what happened in Havenrock, consumed with that guilt,” says Wendy Mericle. “She’s broken up with Oliver. She’s lost her company. And the one thing she has in this life in the bunker. So she’s doubled down on doing that. Until she gets past what happened in Havenrock, she’s going to stay in that state of limbo.”

Ausiello: “The biggest difference is he’s just more experienced” coming into Season 5, executive producer Wendy Mericle says. “He’s older, and he’s been through more.” That doesn’t mean Oliver will be nice to his new recruits (Why would he do that?” the EP laughs), but “he appreciates more the significance of being a teacher and what that means. In terms of this universe of martial arts and fighting and training people and what that means, he’s learning there’s value in being a mentor.”
