The Vampire Diaries - Julie Plec Interview Posted by BloodyMary at Thursday, May 12, 2011 (4 Comments) Labels: Vampire Diaries You recently said that Season 3 would be about the originals. Was that always the plan? Julie Plec: We always knew in a perfect world our Klaus casting [Joseph Morgan] would be successful. He's a very small villain in the book series, but his actions have huge, huge repercussions on the community. We knew there was a lot of territory to mine there, so we built him in and introduced him at the end of this season in hopes that the audience would connect to the character as a villain and we could then explore a lot more down the road about who he is and where he came from. The addition of Elijah [Daniel Gillies] in our world midseason just changed everything. You have Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies, two extraordinary actors having these amazing scenes with each other and you just want more of them. We haven't started plotting Season 3 yet — that happens soon — but certainly it's in our intention to dig deeply into the backstory of the original family.
Are you going to shy away from present day and go more towards mythology and flashbacks? Plec: The show is always going to be about Mystic Falls, our heroes, our love stories, and our brothers and Elena as they navigate the real world in a very unreal scenario. The flashbacks are dropped in here and there, so I don't know that we'll shift that too extremely in one direction or another. It's worked well for us, and every now and then we get to go back into the past and really see these people, who they were back then, but I don't think we'll suddenly have every episode be in year [1000].
OK, let's talk finale. Will it be as emotional as last week's episode? Plec: There's absolutely going to be a different sense of tone — it's not big rings of fire, flaming fire balls and hearts being ripped out. It's the continuation of Damon and Stefan's relationship as brothers, Damon's imminent death as a result of the werewolf bite, and Damon's continuing desire to get acceptance and forgiveness from Elena.
Damon can't possibly die, right? Plec: A lot of our characters, in some way or another, are at extreme risk — Damon of course being the obvious. I, of course, won't tell you if anybody makes it to see Season 3 or not, but there are some moves and surprises that will make the audience yell at us.
What will Stefan do to try to save Damon? Plec: Stefan ended the previous episode saying, "I am not going to let you die. I will find a cure." And, of course, there is no cure. So that's going to be complicated for Stefan, who feels very responsible for his brother as a result of having been the one who really pushed being a vampire on him in the first place. He also feels responsible for the fact that Damon now believes his wrongs led to his death — that it's karmic retribution — and Stefan is basically saying, "I don't accept that because if I accept that this is your karmic retribution, then this is my fault to begin with." So Stefan sets out on a pretty intense journey to figure out if there's any way to save his brother and ... it's a really harrowing experience for him. His own life is put in peril as a result of wanting to do anything he can to save Damon.
What about Elena? Plec: Elena, who is unaware of Damon's bite, is trying to move forward with her brother and her friends. There's a speech early on where she says, "We've got to get up, we've got to get out of the house, we've got to breathe, eat, sleep, then do it all over again until it gets better." That's shifted when she learns the truth about Damon and sets out to help him as he goes through his spiral. A lot of their relationship and friendship issues are brought to light as he is on his deathbed and is still very much desperate for absolution.
Sounds like "Delena" fans will enjoy the finale then. Plec: The second half of the episode is very much driven by Damon and Elena — as he's falling apart — and what she does to try to bring him peace. This is very much an episode of Damon and Elena, and all their relationship issues that they've struggled with for two years now coming to a head.
Can we expect a major cliff-hanger? Plec: Put it this way, there is an out-of-left-field surprise at the end of this episode that tells the audience very clearly what road we're traveling down Season 3. It's not a big cliff-hanger episode. There's a lot of emotional resolution, and then there's a humdinger or two at the end that basically says: "You thought you knew what this show was. Well, we're just getting started."

Kayla Ewell Talks Vampire Diaries Encore: 'I Was Just As Shocked As the Viewers!'
Thursday night’s season finale of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries marked the shocking (and welcome!) return of fan fave Kayla Ewell. In an exclusive Q&A with TVLine, the starlet reveals the reasons she initially thought Vicki’s reappearance was very mean joke, ponders potential Season 3 plans, and more.
TVLINE | It was so nice to see you back on Vampire Diaries! How are you feeling about your big return?
It was a wonderful surprise to be able to go back for an episode. I love Atlanta, so it was fun to be back in the city. [On Thursday night] we had a wrap party during the finale and the second Malese [Jow, who plays Anna] and I showed up on screen, everyone screamed and clapped — it was a fun moment that everyone on the inside of the show got to share together.
TVLINE | Julie Plec told me that Vicki and Anna’s returns were in the writers’ minds all season. When did you find out, and how much notice were you given before heading back to Mystic Falls?
It actually wasn’t much notice at all. The funny story is that I got the call about it on April Fool’s Day, so when my agents and manager called me, I was just waiting for them to tell me they were kidding. I was thinking that it was the cruelest joke anyone had ever played on me. But it ended up being real and was the coolest thing to ever happened. TVLINE | What was your reaction upon reading the finale script? It was crazy to get that script and read it. I was just as shocked as all of the viewers were.
TVLINE | How did you approach playing Vicki this time around? It was such a mysterious scene, and you were given very little knowledge of what exactly was going on. It definitely took me a second to figure out what I wanted to do. I had a bunch of different options in my head, and the one that I ultimately decided on I’d actually like to keep to myself, just so I can wait and see if it comes true or not. [Laughs] One of things that makes our job as an actress so fun is that we’re able to explore and create something out of nothing — which is essentially what we had to do. It was challenging, but also really fun at the same time.
TVLINE | I know that the cast is really close-knit, and you’re still so much a part of that, so what their reaction when you came back to town?
They actually flew me out a little bit early to spend time with everyone. We just came together as a group and went to dinner at this cute place in Atlanta with a Bocce Ball court. They really just make me feel special because whenever I come into town, everyone gathers together. I’ve been back many times not working, just to visit, so it’s more than just work friends — it’s family.
TVLINE | This might be an obvious question, but are you hoping this will lead to more appearances next season?
Of course I am. If they ever asked me back, I would do it in a second. I love the character Vicki so much, I would hope they’d want me back. But that’s what makes the show so great, we never know what’s going to happen.
TVLINE | In the meantime, what’s next for you? Any summer projects?
Yes! There’s a Hallmark movie called Keeping Up with The Randalls, coming out July 19. It’s a really cute little movie I did with Marion Ross from Happy Days, and I play an L.A. fashion designer. To be honest with you, I’m really used to playing the villain and a bad druggie girl, so this was a switch-up for me. [Laughs]

The Vampire Diaries - Post-finale Interview With Julie Plec Posted by BloodyMary at Sunday, May 15, 2011 (3 Comments) Labels: Vampire Diaries
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So I guessed that Klaus’ blood would be the cure for Damon’s werewolf bite, because I knew Damon couldn’t die. But it never occurred to me that Stefan would end up becoming Klaus’ wingman in exchange. How long have you known the season would end with Klaus and Stefan teaming up? JULIE PLEC: Quite a long time. Look, in the same way that the last two seasons have been a very thick Damon journey as he’s come to terms with his humanity and the things that he hates most about himself, now Stefan, who has been struggling against the thing he hates most about himself from his past, is confronted with that. He’s sort of bitch-slapped by his own addiction, so to speak. And now he sacrificed the thing that he needed the most, which was his sense of strength and free will and will power over this problem that he has.
He had been drinking Elena’s blood to build up a tolerance to human blood, but clearly not enough. There is moderation, and then there is sustained abuse. I think we just watched the beginnings of Stefan crossing over into that.
I loved that scene of him on the floor. It was like he was a bad dog who’d just devoured five entire bags of treats. Probably Paul Wesley’s happiest day on set was getting to dive back into that side of Stefan and know that it is the beginning of a big journey for him and for that character to start really returning to the road that has caused him the most grief in his heart and in his mind for 145 years.
I was going to ask you what Paul’s reaction was to that twist. It’s so funny. He sat down with me [earlier this season] and said, “I need to have a really serious conversation with you.” And I was like, “Uh huh.” And he said, “Stefan’s great as the hero, and he’s so admirable and he’s so honorable, and I love that about him. But as an actor, I feel like it would be great if we could dirty him up a little.” And I was like, “Uh huh.” And he looked at me, and he’s like, “You’re already doing this, aren’t you?” And I said, “Uh huh.” [Laughs] It was so great. Just as he was starting to feel like Stefan can do no wrong, we had been creating this almost heightened sense of heroism for Stefan for months knowing where we were going with it.
Katherine was trying to make Elena feel bad there at the end, like Stefan had given up his life with her to save Damon. But Elena can’t be angry, right, because she’d spent all season trying to sacrifice herself — and her future with Stefan — to save her family and friends? Katherine was just being a little naughty bitch and stirring the pot. I love the look on Katherine’s face when she’s like, “Are you sure you care?” It’s so deliciously amused by the predicament, like the cat that ate the canary. She’s loving this. Elena, my god, if anything it won’t be anger — it will be guilt.
Katherine delivering the cure to Damon — we’re supposed to believe she did love him, on some level, as she said? I think on whatever level Katherine is capable of caring about anyone other than herself. In her own way — more overtly and deeply with Stefan, but quietly with Damon — she let both of those boys into her heart just a tiny bit. One more than the other, obviously. Giving Damon his chance at life, that’s a very unKatherine-like thing to do. I love that she did it. While by no means is she a good girl now — she’s still looking out for No. 1 — she took a detour off her escape route to give him back what she took from him at the beginning of the season when she said to him, “It’s always been Stefan, I never loved you.” She was fixing that wound a little bit, which I think is pretty great.
So we know Katherine is a runner, and that Klaus told Stefan he’s going to help him catch her. Does that mean some of season 3 will take place outside of Mystic Falls? I have no idea. That is a question to be discussed ad nauseam once we get back into [the writers room]. But definitely, she’s got her freedom, which she’s wanted for awhile, and we’ll see how long it lasts.
Moving on to the Damon deathbed scene — that was beautiful not only because it harkened back to Damon holding Rose in his bed as she lay dying, but also because, at least in my mind, you let Elena and Damon have a real moment without her going as far as saying “I love you, too.” Elena, as we know, is one of the most compassionate people on the show — if not the most compassionate. It’s her own Achilles’ heel, how much she cares about others. So the extent to which she cares about certain people is always going to be a struggle for her. In that moment, Damon needed her forgiveness and her love, and she needed to give it to him. It was very pure for her. There’s a lot that happened in that moment, and season 3 is gonna be about exploring what it means to her, what it means to Damon, and certainly what it means to the Damon-Elena-Stefan relationship.
Will Joseph Morgan (Klaus) and Daniel Gillies (Elijah) be upgraded to regular cast members next season? All I can say to you is, as I’ve said before, these two actors are extraordinary, and the story of the Originals is probably longer than the Bible and we can’t wait to dig into it.
I’m thinking that Damon and Elena will have to try to find Elijah so he can help them get to Klaus and Stefan. It is safe to say, at least, that we’ll see Elijah again? I personally think that the world would be a very sad place if The Vampire Diaries never saw Daniel Gillies as Elijah again. I love him. He’s amazing. Until we start talking creatively about season 3, that’s the best I can do.
On to Jeremy… So he can see dead people now? Or is it just his past girlfriends because Bonnie told the witch spirits she loved him so they’d help resurrect him? All I can say about that is: As Bonnie was told when she was tapping into that kind of magic to do something that goes against the laws of nature, there will be consequences. We’re just getting a slight tease of what those consequences are. For her, the unimagined consequences were worth it. Now if Vicki and Anna end up sticking around and remaining in Jeremy’s world in whatever way it is that they’re appearing, then in addition to supernatural consequences, obviously, there’s gonna be some romantic consequences as well. We’re taking the love triangle to a whole ‘nother level. Without a doubt, this is a story that is teeing up for our audience a whole new element of what we’re going to be doing on this show.
I know how upset you and Kevin Williamson were to lose Anna in last year’s finale. I love that you found a way to bring both those characters back that was totally unexpected. Was that an idea that just came to someone as you were breaking the story for this episode? No, we had that in our back pocket pretty much the whole year long.
Will Alaric move in with Jeremy and Elena now? That’s what I’m hoping. I think that what we were saying at the end of the episode is, we’re teeing up a new dynamic that is a family dynamic between Alaric and Jeremy and Elena. I don’t know that he himself is ready for that as a character. He might say yes out of obligation, or yes out of an emotional attachment, or he might run for the hills. Who knows? But definitely it is a question that will be asked when we come back, which is, “Are you our new daddy?” [Laughs]
How long ago did you come up with that idea? Because we all thought when Alaric’s body was taken over by Klaus that it was Matt Davis’ great exit. It’s awesome that he survived that, of all things, and now he is, theoretically, hopefully, becoming a more integral part of the story. In our heads, we wanted to start building that dynamic at the beginning of this season. As Alaric and Jenna’s relationship got stronger, we wanted to see a friendship brew between Alaric and Jeremy at least, if not the whole family. And then it was just one of the story lines that, unfortunately, each time we had to add a werewolf or a hybrid into the mix got shoved aside. We didn’t get to do it the way we wanted to. So this is like a new beginning for Alaric and a launching platform for his character going forward that will finally make use of the character in as many ways as we can — not just this one — because Matt Davis is so important to us and his portrayal of Alaric is so great. We really want to try to give him what he deserves, which is the character’s strong point of view and great journey, however it plays itself out.
Since Klaus’ blood can cure a werewolf bite on a vampire, I’m wondering what it can do for a werewolf. Is that something we’ll find out in season 3? Is there more to Klaus’ blood? There’s got to be, I’m sure. The rules of the hybrid and all that comes with being the hybrid, we’ve just scratched the surface.
When did the idea for the hybrid come up? Before we wrote a single page of season 2.
[EW laughs in amazement.] Yeah. That was always the plan.
I’m assuming we’ll see Tyler next season. Absolutely. The series regular family is returning in full effect. Hopefully, we’ll be able to really dig deeply into Tyler’s friendship and blossoming romantic interest in Caroline and her potential interest in him — and also the conflict maybe between the sheriff and the mayor once the mayor comes into the loop, and the lengths they’ll each go to protect their children and possibly try to keep their children away from each other.
Final question: Is there anything more you can tease about where Stefan and Klaus are headed? The direct road to awesomeness. [Laughs] That’s all I can say. We all couldn’t be more excited — Joseph and Paul Wesley included — to tell those stories. It is exciting to us as writers. It’s exciting to them as actors. We’re very energized about Stefan’s new journey and how Klaus plays into that and how that’s all gonna turn out.

What will 'Vampire Diaries' season three look like?
Spoiler:
With three and a half days to digest everything that transpired in the "Vampire Diaries" finale, I finally feel like I have a grasp on where the very solid season ender leaves us and the characters.
Damon is healthy, but in a precarious place now that he's left to defend The Salvatore name -- and lady love -- after Stefan departed with Klaus, who is keeping his extended family in cold storage ... for now. Meanwhile Jeremy is being haunted (?) by his dead ex-girlfriends after Bonnie brought him back from the dead after Caroline's mom accidentally shot him, who has in turned accepted her daughter's newly undead status. Ya know, just another day in Mystic Falls. So with adequate time spent looking in the rearview, I wanted to turn our attention to season three -- and this interview with creator Kevin Williamson, that previews what you can expect from "Vampire Diaries" this September!
PopWrap: How do you feel about the season finale?
Kevin Williamson: I was excited that we got to bring a few of the storylines to a close, so not everything was left as a cliffhanger, while also introducing some new threads for next year. Next season there are several places we can pick up, we don’t have to start right where we left off this time.
PW: Do you like that fans are still scratching their heads over the Vicki-Jeremy-Anna cliffhanger?
Kevin: [laughs] Oh, yes. I’m very excited about that storyline in particular. Right now I hope fans see it as a big question mark, because it should be.
PW: Where did that idea come from?
Kevin: Kayla Ewell. I just loved her. When we made the decision to kill Vicki, it wasn’t an easy one, but something I felt was important to the show because it needed to have a different kind of life. A moment to make people sit back and say, “this show is serious about genre storytelling.” And it worked. But I missed her. Right away I thought, “she can come back.” But then I thought, “dead people have to stay dead or we’re ‘Heroes.'" There here have to be consequences. Especially when people die. In that moment I came up with Jeremy being haunted by Vicky, but that felt stupid. But when Anna came around, everyone fell in love with her too – I mean, the Twitter outrage when she died alone proved that. Then we started playing off the idea that everyone in Jeremy’s life was dying, so I thought, “now there’s a story here!” I was waiting for the right time. It had to be earned. We’ve done werewolves, vampires, we’ve tried to keep it really grounded and now we’re in a place after all the witchy-woo-woo of this year that I think the audience will accept this additional element to our world. So now we’re going to do this whole haunting of Jeremy.
PW: Haunting implies "ghosts" -- is that what you consider Vicki & Anna?
Kevin: No. But if you are thinking ghosts, that is the appropriate place to start.
PW: Does it open the door for more people to return, like Jenna?
Kevin: I guess, but we’re not planning anything like that. There still needs to be a consequence to death, even in this storyline we’ve created with Jeremy. It will abide by a set of rules.
PW: Can I ask, how did you keep it secret?
Kevin: For the longest time, only Julie and I knew. Even when we wrote the final script we kept that scene out. We finally engaged Malese [Jow] & Kayla, who were both excited and on board for it – but the thing is, we had to make sure they were not only available for the finale, but also season three to play out the storyline. But we told them, if people see you in Atlanta, here are your excuses.
PW: Which were?
Kevin: For Kayla it was, “I’ve come to visit my best friend Nina.” For Malese, we told her to say that Anna was involved in a flashback. But it never came out, which was nice because we’re a show that relies on those twists and turns to be most effective. I like that the press had embraced that and played ball.
PW: Julie Plec previously called next year, the "Season of the Originals" -- talk to me a bit about where that's going to take us.
Kevin: It was time for a new element. I mean, talk about a spin-off series [laughs]. Elijah explained how Klaus came about being a few episodes back. So we’re going to build from that mythology, but as you saw from the coffins, there are a lot of originals there. And we have a huge twist already planned for the first episode with them that explains why Klaus was so interested in Stefan. There’s another element to Klaus and what he’s about that you don’t know yet.
PW: Suffice it to say, those coffins won't stay closed for long.
Kevin: It's one of the big things that’s going to happen next year – this family of originals. We’re going to find out who they are, what they’re about, how The Salvatore’s are intertwined with them – Klaus took Stefan for a reason. There’s a big story here. There’s a whole third season of plot we get to mine through these fascinating characters. They’ll show up and hopefully be just as delicious as Klaus & Elijah turned out to be.
PW: Plus, I'm guessing you'll get to bring in that female element I know you love so much. Kevin: Right? Mama Original! I can’t wait till the sister and the mother crawl out of their coffins. Well, whoever ... we haven’t exactly figured it out yet. But what The Originals have done for us is make us excited again about a whole new chapter in this story. We got all jazzed about this third season – if we can pull it off [laughs].
PW: The finale also leaves us in an intriguing place for the Stefan-Elena-Damon relationship. What excites you about where that goes in season three?
Kevin: We’re in an interesting place now with Stefan and Klaus – and Damon is in a place where he never wanted to be. If he didn’t like playing hero this year, what’s going to happen when he’s forced to do the right thing and save his brother? [laughs] It’s going to be an interesting journey. It’ll be exactly what we set out for, but of course we’ll twist it and turn it. That’s the goal. I’m excited to see the dynamic shift with those three. For Elena, after two seasons of loving her as a strong female figure, I think the audience will now finally hopefully be receptive seeing her buy into what Katherine said, that it’s ok for Elena to love both Stefan and Damon.
PW: Looking back, what do you feel were the most creatively satisfying elements of season two?
Kevin: Katherine. That is a highlight for me. Watching this character, who we truly planned to never see that much, become so alive and delicious thanks to Nina, suddenly it made us reroute the entire season. Also watching all the supporting characters, who I knew were capable of so much more in the first season, get to shine this year was amazing. Especially Caroline. Turning her into a vampire … I knew Candice had it in her.
PW: That torture scene still gets me.
Kevin: [laughs] It’s very rare that you find an actor who can make you laugh and cry in the same line of dialogue. Candice can do it and when you can do that, you’re gold to me because that’s who I want to write for. People who make me excited to see how they’ll perform the words.
PW: Regrets?
Kevin: I feel like there was too much witchy woo-woo. We put the master witch at the center of this entire curse, so as a result of doing that, I felt like some of the episodes became too much about witchcraft and not enough about vampires. But that was me taking the story there. The writer in me wishes I had dialed back on that a bit.
PW: So ... less witches in season three?
Kevin: Oh, no. Don’t get me wrong, I love the witches – and there’s another whole show I’m involved in about witches. I’m glad we told Bonnie’s story – she is another one who I’m so proud of this season.
PW: That was my next question, do you feel like season two became so witch-centric because they were on your brain given "Secret Circle?
Kevin: No. I came on board with "Secret Circle" towards the end, so it was after both storylines had been developed. I think with witches, you’re always in danger of, “if one spell can do this, another bigger one can do this!” You have to limit their powers, the rules have to be very clear with witchcraft or a spell can undo anything. You have to be careful you don’t get sloppy with it. I don’t want to use a spell to write myself out of a corner, the show always strives to make it be real and hard and difficult and clever. As opposed to convenient.
PW: I know you haven't heard yet, but what are you excited about with "Secret Circle?"
Kevin: [gasps] Brittany and Thomas Dekker are so good! I was shocked because he wasn’t interested in doing a TV show, much less a CW show. He’s an indie, quirky film guy – but Thomas is really, really good on this show. We were on-set saying that he turned out even better than we thought. He and Brittany together have incredible chemistry. It’s fun.
PW: Obviously you'll hear this week -- are you feeling optimistic?
Kevin: I am. I was just reading that “The Ringer” was picked up by The CW ... which is funny because when Julie and I were trying to get Sarah Michelle Gellar to play Rose. PW: Really?
Kevin: Oh yea. Originally me and my pipe dreams – the ones that led me to tell you I wanted Taylor Swift for Lexi – had us trying to get Sarah Michelle Gellar for Rose. She was very appreciative but just said no. She was the only stunt casting we’d have ever agreed to [laughs]. For more "Vampire Diaries," check out PopWrap's 22 Most Shocking Season Two Moments!

Malese Jow Talks Jaw-Dropping 'Vampire Diaries' Return: 'It Was The Best Surprise Ever' Posted 8 hrs ago by Amy Wilkinson in Hot Stuff, TV News The sophomore season of The CW's "Vampire Diaries" was full of the requisite twists and turns we've come to expect, but executive producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec even outdid themselves with the closing moments of "As I Lay Dying."
Yes, we are indeed referring to the shocking, astounding, out-of-nowhere return of Jeremy's dead vampire girlfriends, Anna and Vicki. (It wasn't our No. 1 most OMG! moment for nothing!) Of course, the minute the closing credits rolled, we knew we had to call up Hollywood Crush BFF Malese Jow to dish about what we had just seen. BECAUSE ANNA IS BACK! Here's what the actress had to say about the big reveal, "TVD"'s "Bachelor" connection and Steven R. McQueen's ever-increasing adorableness.
Hollywood Crush: Malese! Oh my gosh. Let's start at the beginning. When and how did you find out you were coming back? Malese Jow: I found out two weeks before they wanted me to fly out to Atlanta. So it was a huge shock. My manager called me. He started playing a game with me, it was the "Guess Which Show Wants You Back?" game. Prior to "Vampire Diaries," thank God, I had opportunities to hop on to other shows, so to be totally honest "Vampire Diaries" was at the bottom of the list. I never in a million years would have thought they wanted me back. It was the best surprise ever. It was a huge shock and it took a few days to set in.
I bet. I mean, the end for you last season was soooo final. Yes! Same thing with Kayla [Ewell]. So the fact that they would try to write something to bring us back—it's just such an honor. I know a lot of people have died since I left the show, so I'm so hugely thankful to Kevin and Julie.
In this age of rampant spoilers, were extra precautions taken to keep your return a secret? Definitely. The show is all about twists and turns. I mean, they rely on that and that is why they're so successful. So right after my manager told me it was "The Vampire Diaries" he went into the whole speech of do not say anything on the internet, don't hint at anything, which was really hard for me because I love my Team Anna fans. And then I knew immediately they would freak out, but the secret was well worth it. I'm so glad it was kept under wraps because it just made the shock a million times more amazing and effective.
What was the Twitter response like from Team Anna following the finale? It was just a huge wave—they attacked my Twitter. It was so hard to keep up with all the comments. But to be totally honest, the love for Anna never really stopped. I got comments every single day, which I think the fans had a huge impact on me coming back. So once I did, and once they saw me, it was just intense love and everyone is so excited for season three, along with me.
What was it like being back on set? How long was the shoot? It was a one day thing. They flew me into Atlanta. I got one day to enjoy the city because I missed it so much, and when I got to the set it was like school and going away for summer vacation and coming back and seeing everyone. It was like nothing ever happened. It was so great to see everyone. It was the final day of filming that they brought in myself and Kayla. That's how secretive it was. The script was written without us being the last scene too. The fact that we were the last scene...and that cliffhanger. It made it so creepy and exciting.
And you hadn't worked with Kayla before. I hadn't even met her. It was really weird. We had both kind of lived out the same fate on the show. We both dated Jeremy and met a brutal death. So it was cool to meet her. She was so gorgeous. She's so tall and modelesque in person. I was like, "Oh man, you're gorgeous." It will be interesting to see how it works out—if we like each other in the third season, if we're on the same team, if we're going to have this big battle royale. There's so much that could happen.
Do we know 100 percent that these girls are ghosts? They could be anything. Everything is up in the air. I know Kevin and Julie will not disappoint because we're getting into interesting territory... It's a big soap opera.
Have you been told how many episodes you'll be on next season? No, to be totally honest I have absolutely no idea what's in store, and I think that's what makes it so cool. I'm just going to show up and leave it to the masterminds of the show. I'm very excited to see what they come up with and it's going to be great.
The obvious direction seems to be some sort of love square with Jeremy, Bonnie, Vicki and Anna. Yeah, I mean, we're going to attempt a love square, I think. I'm not quite sure. The fact that three girls and Jeremy—he's going to have a touch decision. He has sort of a "Bachelor" game going on.
He'll be handing out roses each episode. Exactly! He'll be like, "Anna, will you accept this rose?" [Laughs]
You recently posted a photo of you and Steven on set. Can we just swoon over Steven together for a moment? Would you agree that he's gotten even cuter since you worked with him last? I didn't think it was possible, but he totally got cuter. He was just unbearably cute before, but he got a haircut and he looks good. He's like a fine wine. He gets better with age. I love Steven. We're best friends. Believe it or not, he's the biggest goofball I've ever met in my life. So don't let the pretty face fool you. He knows how to joke around, and it's never a dull moment with us. We're constantly laughing and making fun of each other. I was beyond excited to see him because we spent so much time [together] the first season.
Are you happy to see Malese Jow back on "The Vampire Diaries"? How do you think her storyline will play out? Give us your theories in the comments and on Twitter!

Spoiler:
Vampire Diaries Season 3 summary, Joseph Morgan now series regular
Here is the new summary for The Vampire Diaries Season 3 and we have some very, VERY interesting storylines hinted at below – impending war between Forbes and Lockwood families? That can’t be good. Also, the release lists Joseph Morgan as a series regular, so we do believe some congratulations are in order? Via the CW press release:
8:00-9:00 P.M. “THE VAMPIRE DIARIES” Based on the best-selling book series, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is the story of two vampire brothers, obsessed with the same gorgeous girl, who are battling to control the fate of an entire town. In season one, Stefan and Damon Salvatore returned to their hometown of Mystic Falls, Virginia, for very different reasons. Stefan was determined to get to know Elena Gilbert, who bears a striking resemblance to Katherine Pierce, the beautiful but ruthless vampire the brothers knew and loved – in 1864. Damon, on the other hand, was intent on releasing Katherine from the tomb where he believed she was trapped by a witch’s spell all those years ago. In the explosive season finale, Elena’s uncle set a plan in motion that saw the return of the vengeful Katherine Pierce. In season two, Katherine’s appearance and her precise manipulation threw a wrench into the love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon, and the other residents of Mystic Falls were forced to choose sides as they fell victim to a new breed of danger. Stefan and Damon were later met with their greatest challenge yet – the arrivals of Elijah and Klaus, two of the “original” vampires. As Klaus goes head to head with Damon and takes a special interest in Stefan, he is also seemingly focused on breaking the “Sun and Moon” curse by sacrificing Elena. Yet no matter what action the brothers take to protect Elena, Klaus won’t be swayed from his mission, proving to be the most powerful vampire in existence. Season three opens the door to learn more about Klaus and The Original Family as his motives for wanting Stefan on his side are finally revealed. As Stefan sinks deeper into the dark side, Damon and Elena struggle with the guilt of their growing bond even as they work together to bring Stefan back from the edge. The ghosts from Jeremy’s past have a powerful message they’re trying to deliver to him, not to mention the impact they’re having on his relationship with Bonnie. And as Caroline and Tyler grow closer, a war erupts between their families. The series stars Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert, Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore, Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore, Steven R. McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert, Kat Graham as Bonnie Bennett, Candice Accola as Caroline Forbes, Zach Roerig as Matt Donovan, Michael Trevino as Tyler Lockwood, Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman and Joseph Morgan as Klaus. Based on the series of books by L. J. Smith, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is from Bonanza Productions Inc., Outerbanks Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Kevin Williamson (“Scream,” “Dawson’s Creek”), Julie Plec (“Kyle XY,” “Wasteland”), Leslie Morgenstein (“Gossip Girl,” “Private”) and Bob Levy (“Gossip Girl,” “Privileged”).

La traduction du post de Lilly
La série – Synopsis officiel de la saison 3 !
Spoiler:
Citation :
